Our Curriculum
Our Curriculum
At A Child's World we focus on building a strong foundation for all of the children that we serve because we can only begin to imagine the future careers that today’s children will take on. We believe in the research based Whole Child Approach to education, one where children develop not only math and literacy skills but also the social-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills necessary to communicate, think both critically and creatively, and solve complex problems. This approach is developmentally appropriate and better prepares children for life well beyond their time in a classroom.

A Child's World dedicated to your child's future. In order to ensure that your child receives the best care and education we set the bar high for those that we invite to care for your children. Our staff has to clear a background check through the Department of Human services that goes through the Illinois State Police, the FBI and the Central Register/Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System (CANTS). Our teachers have to have a Minimum of 2-3 years of experience and an Associates Degree with at minimum of 6-12 hours in Early Childhood Education. Our Assistants have to have some college and complete the level 1 Early Childhood Certification within 90 days of employment. Our staff also have to maintain their professional development plan to include at minimum an additional 30 workshop hours per year.
